The presentation of the volume, in 2024, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York confirms a unique and unrepeatable step in the history of publishing and modern art. For this reason “L’Atlante dell’Arte Contemporanea” was considered by the Senate of the Republic as a publication that was born in Italy to promote culture and art in the world.
On 9 February 2023, the Vice-President of the Senate organized the conference entitled “1940-2023 more than eighty years of history of the Atlas of Contemporary Art” in the Sala Capitolare. The conference was called to give attention to the historic publication, excellence of national and international artistic identity.
At the opening of the volume, there will be a section dedicated to the greatest national and international artists who have revolutionized the history of the second half of the twentieth century up to the present day, analyzed through special insights.
From Andy Warhol to Frida Kahlo, from Basquiat to Arte Povera to the Transavanguardia, up to the contemporaries Maurizio Cattelan, Jeff Koons and Marina Abramović, just to name a few. In this section unique personalities will be analysed, who conceive art as “alive” since it is linked to life itself.
A special section will have, in addition to the main Art Movements of the last century, also the more recent contemporary artistic currents, with analysis and description of the inspiring principles and with photos.

The column "Top Artists, The protagonists of contemporary art", was created with the intention of paying tribute to some of the best international artists. The aim is to suggest to gallery owners, art dealers, museum and collection directors, the contemporary interpreters in which is worth investing. Currently, the world art market takes into account not only the aesthetic value of the work, but also the professional and existential past of the author. The column will be part of the Contemporary Celebrity Masters vol. III, which will be presented on May 18 in Venice. Host city of the Biennale, the most important art event in the world.
This exclusive editorial project will be curated by the art consultant Francesco Saverio Russo and the art critic Salvatore Russo.

I have visited museums, galleries, foundations. I have had relationships with great connoisseurs of art and philosophers of thought. I have argued, sometimes very animatedly, to defend my assessments. I visited the studios of the most famous artists and I started a relationship of friendship and collaboration with them. I interviewed and wrote for great personalities from the world of art. The time has come to do something for all those really good artists, who have not yet obtained the recognition they deserve. Hence the idea of creating an international catalog that could contain all those beautiful realities that really have something to say; and they do so through experimentation, investigation and continuous research. Those abstract, informal, figurative and conceptual realities that I had the pleasure, as well as the good fortune, to meet on my path. A path, this of Art, paved with pitfalls. A dangerous path if undertaken alone. For years now, I have been looking for new realities capable of making the history of art, and then staying there. For the presentation of the volume I opted for the city of London, because I find it the most suitable place to affirm a new artistic ideology. In Italy, as well as abroad, new movements or artistic currents are born every month, but they leave the time they find. We are now mistakenly convinced that everyone can make art. If we start from this assumption, we run into the biggest mistake we can make. Art is not made for the so-called illiterate of the sign; or for those subjects who are not able to visually testify his dilemmas or his joys. In this catalog, therefore, in response to all this, there are those Artists who, through their Art, confess their emotions, dreams, anxieties, resentments, and the beauty of their soul.
